Captain Andrew Henry V.C. died in 1870 and was buried with full  military honours. Captain Henry was awarded the Victoria Cross for his gallantry during the battle of Inkerman in 1854, and was the second Gunner to be so honourded.

   The Citation Reads

The Victoria Cross is awarded to Captain Andrew Henry, Royal Artillery, for defending the guns of his Battery against overwhelming numbers of the enemy on the 5th November 1854, at the Battle of Inkerman, and continuing to do so until he had received twelve bayonet wounds.  He was at that time Sergeant Major of 'G' Battery 2nd Division.
